901 thevagnen is designed by the renowned Finnish furniture designer Alvar Aalto. This TEACART of Aalto has such a refined and modern look to it is incredible that the debut in 1937 at the World Fair in Paris. One of his great innovations, curved birch frame, visible on both sides of the wagon. It has a strong, light frame and thick layers of birch forming closed loops.

All practical components can be found at 901 thevagnen. It has large, white with black wheel tread rubber, handle and edge stripes are made from solid birch. 901-wagon also has shelves with white, laminated surfaces.

During his 50 year career Aalto designed the nearly 60 and numerous manufactured today by Artek. They are renowned as modernist classics and continue to be popular and relevant, but the most famous is and will always be 901 thevagnen.
