Lamino easy chair: a timeless classic design
Lamino easy chair was designed in 1956 by Yngve Ekstrom. It is a classic armchair, in Swedish style, which is still very popular. To chair also includes an upholstered stool. The armchair made of furniture company Swedese in Vaggeryd.
Yngve Ekström was born 1913th During adolescence he was interested in art and design. He trained as a carpenter and devoted himself finally to the design of furniture . Together with his brother, Jerker, he started in 1945 Swedese. Yngve Ekström led the company until his death, 1988.
Lamino easy chair consists of a wooden frame and a soft seat cushion. Various types of wood used, for example, birch, oak, cherry, teak or walnut. Wood materials can be laminated, varnish or oil paint. Laminate is most common. Dress code is usually of leather or sheepskin but other materials are present.
2006, chair manufactured in 50 years. This celebrated company with the development of a child model named lamini, three quarters of the original size, but otherwise identical. Both children - and adult seat are still in production.
Yngve Ekström (http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yngve_Ekström) and designed the Swedese and produced several other paintings, but Lamino chair became the most popular. The whole production has been shown in exhibitions in particular Berlin, Amsterdam, Vienna and Munich. Permanent collection is on the National Museum in Stockholm and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Lamino became in 1999 the century furniture as a vote and it is now eco-labeled with the Swan.
