Furnish environmentally

The best thing for the environment in terms of interiors is to innovate at home, without buying new all the time. Here are some tips on how you can do if at home with simple means.

  • Old furniture and other things may get new life by a few layers of paint. If there are less things it's about, such as a picture list, it's easy to spray.
  • Refresh your kitchen with new handles or tile decors. It is both simpler and cheaper than buying a new kitchen.
  • Check with friends and family if they have unused furniture in the attic that they no longer want. If you are lucky you can find bargains!
  • Book is a great place both to sell their own furniture and make a bargain. The old things with history can bring something unique to your decor. During the summer the flea markets is a good place to go and look at.
  • Buy or sew new cushion covers, it can spice to the boring couch anytime.
  • Sort and browse through your stuff, maybe there is something you can sell or give away? Your home feels fresher and you can have more storage options, while you give another chance to find bargains ..
  • Have you papered and have wallpaper over? Then you can paint walls any furniture that needs to Chests or you can make a painting by framing a piece. If you've done something yourself, it feels home at once more personal and cozy, while in this way helps the environment.

We live in a consumer society where we toss and buy new without thinking. I think we are moving away from that thinking and moving towards a more creative and environmentally friendly way to decorate on. For sure, our planet deserves the consideration?
