Scandinavia's best sofas?
I dare say that in almost every home, they can find a couch. It can be a sofa, sofa bed, finsoffa, corner sofa, leather sofa, modular sofa ... dear child has many names and there are a plethora of different varieties of "seating with room for two or more people." I've never come across a similar sofa in two different homes. However, it is not surprising given all the lovely sofas that we have our Nordic designers to thank for.
Finn Juhl, a Danish designer, designed several amazing couches in 1940 - and the 50's. Juhl sofa poet reminds a little about Carl Malmsten Sofa Samsas , which is my absolute favorite couch. The favorite among Juhl sofa is something extraordinary. The sofa impresses with its unique two-piece backrest that closes the sitting like a protective wall.

So it's time for a new couch? Personally I think it is the hardest and most time consuming piece of furniture to purchase. The sofa is a relatively large piece of furniture and takes up both literally and figuratively, often much space in the room, it is expensive, should be comfortable but maybe not too comfortable and of course, is the shape and color is important. There are many factors at play in the election of a new sofa. In addition, the offer stylish sofas relative large today. A luxury problem no doubt, but if all the valves, it may mean that you have to change your couch for years, which in turn benefits both the wallet and the environment.

I bought a couch last spring that I am very pleased with. Fell for module idea. The ability to change shape and size depending on room size and shape (change of residence, sooner or later) and mood (have always loved to redecorate ..) fits me perfectly. It is also possible to assemble the various components to the perfect guest bed! No one sofa bed in my house is not .. Personally I think sofa beds tend to be less attractive. It seems that the design will suffer because of functionality, which is a shame.

The range of stylish and beautiful sofas are incredibly richer than I have documented here. Nordic sofas and soffdesigners also well-deserved competition from Italy, which globally is perhaps best known for its magnificent couches. France also has a reasonably successful design company Ligne Roset, which I think we will see more of in the future. Ligne Roset has an exciting new soffdesign which couch facet is a good example. However, I believe and hope that our Nordic designers continue to design fine furniture where we can sit, relax and socialize.
