Scandinavian design was a very large part of the 1900s home furnishings industry, and some names are different indeed from the crowd. Among these are Bruno Mathsson, Hans Wegner, Alvar Aalto and Arne Jacobsen, but one of the most memorable is Yngve Ekström, who was born at Haga Fors ( Goolge Maps ) in Småland 1913th

Then Haga Fors is the city in Sweden with Elders presence in the furniture industry, it was no surprise that a young Yngve Ekström was drawn to what was so popular and pervasive in his surroundings. Like many other Scandinavian designers, he studied not only the woodwork but learned also from the academic study of art history and related painting, drawing and sculpting. Many of the style elements in his work is clearly related to the studies.

1945 he founded and his brother Jerker Swedese , one of the most respected manufacturers of modern furniture in the world. He continued to be active in the company until his death, a career of over forty years. Products from Swedese included elegant, artistic works for the home, but the clean profile and utilitariska design, they made even more popular in larger offices and businesses.

Lamino chair was designed in 1956 by Yngve Ekstrom . It is a classic armchair, Swedish style, which is still very popular. The chair also includes a padded stool. The armchair is made of the furniture company Swedese in Vaggeryd.

Yngve Ekström was born 1913th During adolescence he interested in art and design. He trained as a carpenter and devoted himself finally to the design of furniture . Together with his brother Jerker, he started the 1945 Swedese . Yngve Ekstrom led the company until his death in 1988.

Lamino armchair consists of a wooden frame and a soft seat cushion. Various types of wood used, eg birch, oak, cherry, teak or walnut. Wood material can be laminated, varnish or oil paint. Laminate is the most common. The cover is usually made of leather or sheepskin but also other materials are present.
