Yngve Ekström, founder of Swedese and Lamino chair designers
Scandinavian design was a very large part of the 1900s home furnishings industry, and some names are different indeed from the crowd. These have included Bruno Mathsson, Hans Wegner, Alvar Aalto and Arne Jacobsen, but one of the most memorable is Yngve Ekström was born at Haga Fors (Goolge Maps) in Småland 1913th
Then Haga Fors is on town in Sweden with the oldest presence in the furniture industry, it was no surprise that a young Yngve Ekström was drawn to what was so popular and pervasive in his surroundings. Like many other Scandinavian designers, he studied not only the woodwork, but learned even from academic studies of art history and related painting, signing and sculpted. Many of the style elements in his work is evident related to the study.
In 1945 he founded and his brother Jerker Swedese, one of the most respected manufacturers of modern furniture in the world. He continued, was active in the company until his death, a career of over forty years. Products from Swedese included elegant, artistic items for the home, but the clean profile design and UTILITARIAN they did even more popular in larger offices and businesses.
Ekströms perhaps most famous work was Lamino chair created for the first time in the 1950s and is still in production and popular even today. Lamino The chair was named Sweden's best seat in the 1900s by a Swedish Design Journal in 1999 and received another important award, the Design Innovation, the IMM in Cologne 2003rd
This chair has attractive curves seen both from the side of the front and are often sold with a matching ottoman. It can be found in most types of wood to the frame and upholstery to match the high way all taste, from sheepskin to weave tygnät. The versatility and the simple but beautiful shape contributed to its continued popularity and chair sold for between 14 000 and 20 000 USD for new specimens. Older copies have been sold for much more than that.

This ability to manage and produce new innovations only increased in the legend of him. His chairs add to the variety of decorative styles and looks exceptionally nice with hardwood floors. Although his designs were often breakthrough at its creation, many have become classics.

Yngve Ekström, who was born at Haga Fors in Smaland - a small village in the heart of the furniture district - was designed to work with furniture. He studied all aspects of craftsmanship but it was furniture that was his passion. Yngve Ekström was launched in 1945, along with his brother Jerker Ekström, Swedese furniture company, a company that today produces some of Yngve Ekström's most classic designs such as "Lamino", "Lamello", "Rondino" and "Laminett". Yngve Ekström, through its design has become one of the most eminent persons in the movement which is usually called "Scandinavian Modern" His designs have been acclaimed throughout the world and are exhibited in some of the world's most famous museum.
