by Trevor Sinclair

Would you like to visit the Blackpool for the festival of lights and while there enjoy other activities? Try out the Blackpool Winter Gardens and be an audience to the variety of Blackpool shows there? For the first timers, it could turn out to be a fun and interesting experience.

The Winter Gardens is the home of the Blackpool opera house and it is divided into different types of rooms with different features. The Empress Ballroom has a capacity of 1000 guests to 3000 guests under its vaulted ceilings and crystal chandeliers. Depending on the organization hosted, usage of the room is changing like concerts and banquets to political conventions.

The Empress Ballroom is linked to the Arena, another room of many uses. It can provide additional space for up to 600 or a much more intimate feel for theatrical presentations or up to medium-sized meetings. The room is even capable of complete blackout should that be required.

Blackpool Winter Gardens plays host to a number of conventions, conferences and banquets annually within the Olympia, Renaissance, Baronial and Spanish Halls. Each hall seats a couple hundred people max, and if the event is a large one, thousands of people can fit into a hall if standing room only is required.

With access to the Olympia, the Horseshoe is a spacious exhibition area. In the center of the Horseshoe is the Pavilion Theater. A dedicated theater, seating only as many as 600 people, it provides an intimate venue for viewing Blackpool shows. And is an interesting place to host business meetings, within its ornate elegance.

The Opera House Theater, located in The Gardens, is the United Kingdom's largest dedicated theater. With seating for almost 3,000, it also has box seats and a balcony. The theater has been the site of many West End productions and has hosted theater icons like Bob Hope, Judy Garland, and Frank Sintra, just to name a few.

Throughout the year, the site is in use and the festival of lights is the time which is most popular with the tourists, you can yourself think about the variety of choices in entertainment that are possible to have within this single place.

If you were planning on vacationing in Blackpool during the festival of lights celebration, there are other things you can do there as well. The Blackpool Winter Gardens is a beautiful place to visit during your vacation. The Winger Gardens is a residence to the Blackpool opera house divided into various rooms for multipurpose activities.
