The combined efforts of BMW all come together in their Efficient Dynamics program. A vast collection of scientific advancements and cutting-edge technology make up this program, which goes towards making the vehicles produced by BMW more environmentally friendly. One of there new implementations is advanced diesel. Advanced diesel works similarly to its more traditional cousin, but it produces 99% less emissions. The vehicles that run on this special gas also received some upgrades, giving them a boost to fuel economy. When making the vehicles, lighter materials are used. BMW's revolutionary gas mileage boosters, the Valvetronic and direct-inject technologies, have also been upgraded, helping them give you even more miles per gallon than they used to.

In an effort to add a touch of luxury to the already-existing hybrid and electronic models available by other manufacturers, BMW is working on beefing up their selection of green cars. A hybrid vehicle, referred to as the ActiveHybrid series, and an electric car, the Concept 1, come with all the luxury and class that you would associate with BMW with added green technology.

On three separate occasions at the Environmental Transport Association's Green Car Awards, BMW was recognized for their huge strides in eco-friendly technology. Of all the cars, totaling more than 5,000, BMW won the award for greenest off-road car, which is available at Orange County BMW Dealerships. In addition to their vehicles, the EfficientDynamics program was also recognized for its contribution for environmental conservation.
